Marguerite graduated with Cambridge O’Levels from her Alma Mater, Emmanuel High School (in Barataria). Subsequently, she attended Hotel School where she obtained an Associate Degree in Culinary Management.
Mrs. Wiltshire-Pickerin being the determined individual that she is also pursued various short courses in Canada and attended various well known institutions in Trinidad namely, John Donaldson Technical Institute and University of the West Indies (U.W.I) Open Campus where she completed Cake Making and Cake Decorating Courses. Under the purview of the Ministry of Community Development she also became certified in Glass Engraving, Making of Preserves (Fruits) and numerous types of Airbrush Courses (inclusive of Clothing, Make-up, Cake Decorating and Nail Art).
Mrs. Pickerin has held numerous administrative positions during her employment tenure. She worked for a number of years under the stewardship of Mr. E.V.C Thorne as a Quantity Surveyor. Marguerite was also employed at the Trinidad and Tobago Teachers’ Union, where she was appointed Secretary to Mr. Cedeno Gopaul. Additionally, she served for twenty-four (24) plus years at the Telecommunication Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) where she retired as a Senior Assistant Administrator.
The love for community has led to Mrs. Pickerins’ active involvement in the Vega De Oropouche Village Council, where she holds the office of Vice President. She is also a member of the Zoe Foundation in La Horquetta and dedicates her time and creativity into Hand Craft for the elderly of the community.
